One toolkit for every
marketplace photo 🛒

Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, eBay each want different sizes, weights, and backgrounds. Instead of juggling five tools, do it all in one browser workflow — bg-remove, compress, resize, convert — without uploading your inventory anywhere.

Marketplace image requirements (2026)

Every marketplace publishes its own spec. Using an off-spec image gets listings rejected, ranked lower, or displayed with ugly padding. Here's the quick reference we keep updated.

File-size targets by use case

White background vs transparent — when to pick

Pure white (#FFFFFF)

Required by Amazon main image. Use when the platform mandates or when you want a clean catalog feel. Export to JPEG.

Transparent (PNG)

Best for Shopify variants, hero sections, and compositing. Ships as PNG — larger file but crucial for layered designs.

Lifestyle (kept)

Etsy and Instagram reward context shots. Don't remove the background — composition is the selling point.

Common mistakes we see

Off-white backgrounds #FEFEFE

Amazon detects and rejects. Use the exact #FFFFFF — our bg-remove tool exports pure white by default.

Upscaled pixelation

Enlarging a 500px photo with bicubic looks blurry. Use AI upscale for 2× / 4× without loss.

PNG for photographic products

PNG is lossless but 3-5× larger than JPEG for photos. Only use PNG when transparency is needed.

Stripped EXIF messing up color

Our Compress tool preserves color profiles while stripping GPS — keeps brand color accurate.

FAQ

Does imagemochi see my product photos?

Never. All processing happens in your browser. The server only records an anonymous count of how many times a tool was used.

Can I batch process 50 SKUs at once?

Yes — Premium tier supports 50-file batches with ZIP export. Free tier is 3 per batch.

What's the best format for Shopify?

WebP if your theme supports it (30-45% smaller than JPEG at equivalent quality). Otherwise JPEG at 85% quality.

How do I hit Amazon's 2000×2000 rule from a 1500px source?

Use the AI upscale tool to enlarge, then resize down to 2000 exactly. This beats bicubic upscaling for crispness.

Will this cost me money?

Free tier: 20 uses/day, 3-file batches, ads. Premium $3.99/month: unlimited, no ads, 50-file batches.

Can I use this for Print-on-Demand (Printful, Printify)?

Yes. Use our Resize tool to hit 300 DPI and the target print dimensions. Most POD services want PNG with transparency for apparel.

Does it respect my color profile?

JPEG conversion preserves sRGB. For product photography accuracy (especially fashion), work in sRGB throughout.

Is there a Shopify app?

Not yet — in our Phase 3 roadmap. Today you can upload batch results manually via Shopify's media library.
