Our Mission
imagemochi exists to make image editing accessible to everyone — without compromising privacy. Every tool on this platform processes your files directly in your web browser using JavaScript and the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded to any server, never stored in any database, and never seen by anyone but you.
We believe that basic image tasks like resizing, compressing, converting formats, or adding watermarks should be free, fast, and private. You should not need to install software, create an account, or hand over your photos to a cloud service just to resize an image for social media or compress a photo for email.
How It Works
Unlike most online image tools that upload your files to remote servers for processing, imagemochi takes a fundamentally different approach. When you drop an image into any of our tools, all processing happens locally on your device:
1. Your browser loads the image — The file stays on your machine. It is read using the browser's built-in File API.
2. JavaScript processes it — We use the HTML5 Canvas 2D API, Web Workers, and specialized libraries (like pdf.js for PDFs, piexif.js for EXIF data) to perform the actual transformation.
3. You download the result — The processed file is generated as a Blob in memory and downloaded directly to your device. Nothing touches a server.
This means imagemochi works even without an internet connection (after the page loads), works on any device with a modern browser, and keeps your files 100% private by design — not by policy.

Full-stack developer specializing in browser-based image processing. Built imagemochi from scratch using vanilla JavaScript, Python (FastAPI), and the HTML5 Canvas API. Passionate about privacy-first architecture and making professional tools accessible to everyone for free.
The project started in March 2026 with a simple goal: create the image tools I wished existed — ones that are genuinely free, don't require signup, and don't compromise user privacy by uploading files to servers.
Every line of code, every design decision, and every tool on this platform is built by hand. The frontend is vanilla JavaScript (no frameworks), the backend is Python with FastAPI, and the entire site runs on a single machine connected to the internet via Cloudflare Tunnel.
Technical Background
imagemochi uses client-side processing exclusively. All 8 core image tools — from AI upscaling with WASM/ONNX to multi-layer CSS filter chains to lossless format conversion — are implemented in JavaScript running inside your browser. The server's only job is to serve static HTML files and handle authentication.
This architecture means zero server compute costs for image processing, sub-second processing times on modern devices, and mathematically guaranteed privacy — your images physically cannot reach any server because the processing code runs entirely on your machine.
Our Principles
Privacy by Architecture
We don't just promise privacy — we engineered it into the core architecture. Since all image processing happens in your browser via Canvas API, there is physically no way for us to see, store, or access your images. Even if our servers were compromised, your image data would not be at risk because it was never there.
Free Means Free
All 26 everyday tools are free and unlimited — no signup required. AI tools (Upscale 2x: 20/day, BG Remove: 10/day) have a fair-use cap on Free because they run heavy neural network models. Pro ($3.99/mo or $29/yr — save 39%) unlocks unlimited AI, 4x upscale, batch 50, priority queue, 30-day history, custom logo watermark, offline PWA, and removes ads.
No Dark Patterns
We don't add fake watermarks to free results, we don't degrade quality to push upgrades, and we don't require email addresses to download your processed images. The free tier is a real, complete product.
